Since its inception in the late eighties, Seattle Tamil Sangam has morphed and evolved over the years. 2009 heralds the 20^th anniversary of this illustrious organization and this is marked by a freshly minted  Non-Profit Organization certification awarded by the State of Washington. In keeping with its core mission of proactively engaging Tamil diasporic interest, Seattle Tamil Sangam will continue to promote cultural programmes as well as support the efforts of other Tamil-interest organizations.

Every activity and event organized by STS has two main forces functioning together. Committee members, who drive and decide the overall direction of this organization, and our caring Volunteers, without whom critical tasks cannot get done.
